How do you play a multiplayer game with Gens? I'm trying to connect to to my wife over the LAN, we put in each other's IPs and all, never connects...how do you start a server?

Check the last post on this thread. Each computer must have a IP address asigned, so you only need to run Kaillera server on one of the machines, then both clients connect to the same server.

Actually yeah. SpinDashMaster from TSC here. We do a lot of competitive play in Sonic games and rely on the Gens emulator (and also the Gens+/ Gens movie mod of it for recording) heavily. One thing we're working on, as luck may have it, is to have some regular multiplayer gameplay.

As of 2008, I had discovered OpenKaillera and had been using that. Its got two really great features -- one of which is a .krec recording function, and the other being a P2P mode, which eschews the need for a server altogether!

Using it is simply a matter of replacing the inherent kailleraclient.dll with the new one, so that's simplistic.

Only thing is, their homepage doesn't exist anymore. You'd have to google search to find it.
